Press Release Summary: DESTINATION INTEGRATION - practical guide to living abroad -
published by Dr. Lars K. Hansen

Press Release Body: In an era where ever growing numbers of people are leaving their
home country to live abroad for a shorter or longer period of time, this book will
be a valuable asset as a guidebook on how to navigate the challenges far away from
home. It aims to guide the modern day explorer on his way to a successful
expatriation, giving an understanding of the integration processes that will be
faced before, during and after a stay in a new culture. It provides direct advice as
well as psychological thoughts on some of the universal immigrant experiences.

This is a practical, self-help guide to long-term travelling. It provides advice on
how to settle in another culture, and gives answers to some of the questions that
arise on the journey into a new life.

The text is firmly based on the fundamentals of psychological insights and practical
advice, interspersed with personal and historical anecdotes. It deals with the
reasons why we embark on the journey, and outlines some of the considerations that
most immigrants will experience during their stay in their new life, including
\"coming back\" and receiving visitors from your old life. Finally, it reflects on the
mindset of the immigrant who returns for good to his old country after years abroad.

Based on the author\'s considerable personal experience of integration and
professional knowledge of psychology, this book will be of use to a wide spectrum of
travellers, as well as those who are left behind.
